Free help with your PC

Ikibits ("little bits") provides free pc help in a language and format you can understand. Its fast, free, and devoid of annoying adverts. It's aimed at the novice computer user who wants to know how to perform basic PC tasks such as; using the keyboard and the mouse, navigating the operating system, plugging things in, printing, manipulating images, sending e-mail, using a web-browser, search engine and so fourth. I will only cover the current most popular operating system, Windows XP, although a great deal of information is relevant across many operating systems, from Windows to Linux.

I will try to piece together information in a variety of formats - including text, pictures and step by step instructions in a language you can understand. Words that are underlined are either external links, or internal links to pages on this site and will give you more information on a given topic, left click to activate a link. I have organised the site so that the essential knowledge is clustered under "getting started". Later sections will refer to the information covered in "Getting Started" frequently. I hope that you'll find ikibits user friendly, and will gain something from it.
